This wine was wild fermented and aged on lees in oak barrels, providing a richer, softer expression of Viognier with lush apricot, coconut and a nice green apple bite to freshen the palate. An almond savouriness adds texture alongside a touch of minerality, providing a delicious wine with lots of flavour.

White flower and yellow stone fruit, toasted honey-almonds and nougat notes with fresh orange blossom.

The 2025 season started with a mild spring with adequate soil moisture, resulting in a slightly later harvest. A warm summer in the Perth Hills led to ideal ripening conditions with little pressure in the vineyard and a lack of any major rain events during the ripening season. 2025 produced fruit with optimal varietal expression and balanced acid.

winemaking

A combination of stainless-steel tank fermentation and whole bunch pressed to new and used French oak puncheons. Wild fermented the sulphured after primary fermentation to avoid malolactic fermentation. Partial aging on fermentation lees for up to 8 months before bottling.
