Technical
vintage
The Perth Hills wine region experienced a harvest that was high in quality, supported by a consistent growing year. Paying close attention in the vineyard was crucial to capture the optimal ripeness window whilst maintaining freshness and vibrancy in the picked fruit.
winemaking
Shiraz and Merlot fruit was hand-picked in the early morning from the Millbrook property and pressed as whole clusters extracting free run juice of pale colour and delicate flavour. A modern style rose was crafted in the winery, with a salmon-pink hue and fine, light-bodied nature demonstrating the gentle-handed, low oxygen winemaking techniques used. Early blending and bottling allowed us to capture the freshness and vibrancy of this wine for the prime summer and crisp autumn days at the beach or in the backyard.
